-- TO COMBAT THE FINAL DAYS, Lahabrea devised many creations for the purposes of destruction and protection both. One of these concepts was a formless being akin to a sentient cubus. Aspected to umbral aether, it was given a boundless appetite in the hopes that it would devour the stagnant aether that plagued the ancient world. Later, when it had grown strong enough, it would then be able to restore the star to its former self. It was given the name "Astrophagos", or "star eater".However, subsequent testing would deem the creation unfit for its purpose, and so Lahabrea condemned it back to crystal to be archived.Twelve thousand years later, it would be salvaged from Amaurot's ruins by Emet-Selch. The Ascian brought it back to Garlemald, intending to release the cataclysmic concept stored within at the right moment.Aulus mal Asina chanced upon the concept crystal after a night alone with the Emperor. Suspecting it to be much more than a simple crystal, he pilfered it and took it back to his lab for research. With a sacrifice of blood, the concept was summoned. The praefectus was startled to learn that not only did the formless being possess the intelligence of man (or perhaps greater), it could also take any form - man or beast. Even so, it was new and ignorant to the world. It needed guidance...and he needed more data.He named the being 'Lucius', a popular name in Garlemald at the time thanks to the much beloved crown prince.

Lucius is a creation from the ancient world brought to life in the modern era. He is able to take many forms, but generally prefers to appear as a Viera after an encounter with a Sharlayan gleaner.Despite his origins, Lucius has a very laid-back and kind personality. Though he can be lazy at times, he won't hesitate to offer aid to someone in need.Along with shapeshifting, Lucius has a natural knowledge of destructive magic imparted from his creator. Although unnecessary, he can also wield weapons ranging from daggers to scythes. The harder he works, the hungrier he becomes. Lucius's appetite can work against him at times, and be uncontrollable in certain cases. He has drained beasts and even men of their aether by accident. These incidents haunt him, and are why he avoids exerting himself more than necessary.

Thank you for checking out my OC!He's on FFXIV - Lucius Asina of Malboro. Some general rules:- 18+ only please! I don't talk to minors!- NSFW ok!- I love ships! Lucius leans more towards men, but doesn't have a hard preference. If you're interested in shipping, let's interact and see where it goes!- I'm down for plotting, but I prefer to let characters interact naturally. I do best with a simple set-up, and then let the dice roll from there.
